Default Bike hibernation

So my bikes been out of action for some time as I've been abroad for about 10 weeks. Just got a few Q's.

The MOT's and road tax have both run out. If I tax it, can I then ride it off to get an MOT done straight away?

Also is there anything I should especially look/check for when riding it again for the first time? My naff battery will be dead for sure!

Other way around. You can't tax it without an MOT so MOT comes first.

Tyre pressures
chain,
fuel (is there any?)
Oil.
Battery.
Rad level
brakes work?

... good to go

You can ride it without tax and/or MOT to an MOt station.

However you need to pre-arrange the MOT for this to be allowed.

What MOT form? Just take your V5 or old MOT with you to make it easier
