Sv race bits
Hi, I am building a carby supertwin for the road, I live on the Isle of Wight so a combination of lightweight and darty handling with not too much power will be ideal.
My shopping list is pretty much. Gsxr 1000 forks 03 onwards Gsxr 1000 radial calipers Performance master cylinder Subframes/bodywork Hoopty rear shock Srad 750 front rim Hayabusa/TLR1000 front discs Any engine bits (already have cam swap items, but bits like lightened flywheel would be nice) Performance exhaust. So pretty much anything race related would be nice. Bike is a carby, so I already have the Zoran conversion bearing, front loading battery box and Shorei cell, along with a set of 750 Srad yokes and some rearsets. If anyone has anything It will be appreciated. |

Re: Sv race bits
K3 1000 fork valving are horrid you would be better with 600/750 K4-5, much more compliant for road use.
go for gsxr black radial callipers to fit 320mm discs you dont need a performance MC due to the good engine braking of the SV. hope this helps. Last edited by Bibio; 16-11-17 at 08:29 PM. |

Re: Sv race bits
I'm sure I have a spare SRAD wheel in the garage, might have two. And I'll be dropping out a set of GSXR750 K5 forks Real Soon Now (I've been planning to do this since 2010, but it's actually coming along). How fast do you need to move? I can sort the wheel fast but the forks need to wait til I finish machining the new ones...
Oh aye I've got a SRAD top yoke as well which is ideal for the fork swap though the bottoms are usually the harder ones to find

Re: Sv race bits
Sorry, only just saw this! Yes I am interested in a Srad front wheel and very interested in the 750 k5 front end. Any modern gsxr forks that will fit in the srad yokes are of interest to me.
As sated, I already have the conversion bearing and 750 yokes, so I'm good on them cheers. |
