I remember the day my (then 2 years old) son found my 10" singles vinyl collection and decided to use them as frisbees while I was in the kitchen making him lunch.

According to my parents, when I was a toddler I used to chew their singles and EPs. Mmmmm, lovely vinyl.

Is the wheel bent too or is that just rubber distortion?

New £5 notes (plastic kind) make good boots to go inside a tyre to get you home if you have a split that might rupture the inner tube. I keep a 2 inch long bit of old tyre in my saddle bag just in case.

I have that but have used a gel-wrapper in a pinch - as long as it is not on the wearing part of the tyre its a pretty good fix.
