Early hours of this morning they were dislodging barges that were ripped from their moorings last week in the Hebden Bridge flood.......now that was Noahs Ark! It's been wedged that hard it completely blocked all traffic on the canal!

I've seen canoes on todmorden high street twice in ten years!

Aye all I've done today is clean up flood water, then just as you finish it floods again 1/2ft in the factory/and offices today. Still at least the river Rea didnt flood us out again like a few years ago. Still i got paid for it.

Me and a mate were heading to Wolverhampton this morning, under a railway bridge the road dips, full of water (about 18 inches deep at deepest point) but some cars were going through and some were turning round.

I persuaded my mate to go for it but he didn't keep revs high like I said and it stalled.
Water was over bottom of doors and car was semi floating, a BMW driver who just pushed his out, helped us and once I could get out door I got my feet wet.

I did film it but can't post on here due to my potty mouth.

Called my breakdown service who took 90 mins to arrive, no good then 75 mins wait for recovery truck, car is now sat outside my house, I've gotta replace starter tomorrow as we think it's burnt out.

To make matters worse, my downstairs toilet has been flooded by water getting past door seal and it's warped my wooden floor in there, crap day all round

I'm just glad Hebden and Tod are basking in glorious sunshine this evening, I'm.not sure they could have coped with any more rain.

It's not that bad down here, but work have declared contractual overtime due to the flooding in our network (openreach).... 9 days in 12 weeks, and as I work Monday to Friday that's my summer ruined as I'll be working most weekends. They've also cancelled all non essential training and volunteering days too.

To anyone who has suffered due to the floods I hope it all goes well
