Default VFR800 valuation

Been to see a 2001 VFR800 Fi-y this morning, riding position is ideal.

Bike has 25k, stamped history up to 16k, then self done.

All previous MOT's present and mileage tallies.

Seller owned since 2005. 2 previous.

So without me saying the price, what kind of money is this worth?

I know it is a difficult question to ask, I would say it is in VGC.

I generally use Fleabay sold prices and try to get an average idea etc.

This is the pre v-tec, which according to my homework was problematic??

Hi
From what you say it sounds good. At that age consumables pay a big part in the asking price. To buy and have them fitted: good quality tyres £250, Chain & Spkts £200, brake pads all round £50. If all of these items are half life I would say £2100.
You could buy a zx9r, a far more capable bike IMHO for less money!

I'd say around 1800, relatively low miles but now a three generation older bike. VTECs with that sort of miles and slightly ounger would fetch around £2400. IMHO

Has new tyres and pads, plus a set of extra pads.

Ebay average is around £1700 give or take

Gonna sit tight and see how it pans out.
