And the environmental impact of the chemicals in the batteries probably isn't insignificant... Same problems as all the other "green" electrical vehicles edit: oh, and it might do 150 miles before you need to charge it, but how long do you have to let it charge for before you can continue? but 100lbft is nice to have, shame they forgot to get a sighted person to design it

150 mile range* - so it's debatable which is further, that or an SV. OK Agreed** but the neighbourhood might think different *150mph so it's faster than an SV ** It looks better than an SV so swings & roundabouts Last edited by Stu; 05-02-09 at 01:00 PM. |

So!!!??!?!?
I will accelerate like a *******! Imagine getting double the torque of the SV, everywhere in the rev range, all the time. |

Re: New electric bike - 100lb/ft @ 0rpm!!!
Obviously, you can produce the electricity using a wind turbine etc. Even a coal station is going to be more efficient than a bike engine. Seriously, 40mph for a bike is a bit **** if we are honest.
Anyway, it's pretty radical design. I quite like it. |

that's only 4 conversions, even if each one is 90% efficient that'll leave you with less than 60% of the energy you had when it left the power station
