Running badly in the wet
I think iv just encountered the running badly in the wet problem,
On the M5 chucking it down and the bike just starts to loose power, had to change down and keep the throttle fully open to maintain speed. As I came off the motorway the bike stalls and is hard to start, in the works car park im told I had flames coming out the end of the can, and the internals are glowing red. Now does this sound typical of the only running on one pot problem iv read about on here before ( I cant find the links ) Is it best to get the bike recovered or should it be ok once it’s had time to dry out . And how do stop it if it is the wet weather problem. Any help would be appreciated Addick |

Fit a front fender extender.
Check the drain hole on the front cylinder is not blocked with gunge. |

I'm not convinced you have the "usual suspect" problem there. Why was the exhaust red hot and spitting flames? You also describe a loss of power rather than a classic wet misfire which sounds to me like a fuel problem.
Now not running at all?Not right.

If you mean the down pipe was red hot, then this a probable sign that the engine is running lean. Lean engines run hotter than normal. Running an engine lean for a prolonged period of time could easily mean a non running engine in the end.

if its misfiring and dumping fuel in exhaust then could cause flames and red hot downpipe, but I would like an update to see what problem actually was
Any update? |

Bike in dealers,
Now just weighting for the verdict by the way it was the pipe internals, that is looking down into it, that were glowing red |
