Re: Rough cost of painting lower fairings
Hi
I had my lowers resprayed - took them in painted and the body shop rubbed down, primed and painted with a very good finish. They charged 2 hours labour for the lot which seemed pretty good to me. Edit - I supplied the paint (was about £15 for 1/4 litre tin which was enough) and the labour cost around £90 if i remember rightly! Last edited by Beetrootkiller; 01-03-15 at 09:39 PM. |

Re: Rough cost of painting lower fairings
Think from memory my lowers, undertray and mudguard were £100. But i think that was cheap.

Rough cost of painting lower fairings
I went to my local place that came recommended (Middleton panels and paint).. Perhaps ask your local body shop where they get their paint from?
Someone like RS paints may do postage but you'd be better off checking out a local place... Also take a sample painted piece if possible.. Makes it easier for them to match! |

Rough cost of painting lower fairings
Yeh I've just seen.. I've never used them but was recommended to me before I went to Middleton, they are more expensive.. But looks like they ship if you cannot find a local dealer.

Re: Rough cost of painting lower fairings
The paint is the most expensive part in this process

Rough cost of painting lower fairings
And looking at RS website it says I should have had a base coat and laquer, the bodyshop must have done that for me but haven't charged me any materials..
