Ah, I thought you meant adapting a film prime to m43. I've not really looked at primes, not sure how the crop factor will affect the focal length. Quite impressed with my G1 though, good of you want dslr quality without the weight.

I think forget the crop factor and double the number. A M4/3 25mm is a 50mm in 35mm speak; a 14mm is a 28mm wide angle. Apparently, the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake is a very good walk around lens.
I like the kit 14-42 zoom but it it only goes down to f3.5, although the camera's in body image stabilisation really helps this go a long way in low light.

Interesting about the spotty, yoko, maybe I'll seek one out. The K1000 is a bit of a brick, I get why people like a mechanical SLR but less so about that one in particular.

Worth having a fondle of one Johnny, it's certainly not a brick.
I like mechanical SLRs in that they can work without batteries and, hopefully, they are repairable, whereas if a totally electric SLR (OM20/ FX-D) dies, it's probably curtains.

I don't fancy that one. It's more of a lens cap/ basic fisheye, very wide and IQ isn't meant to be great. For a little more, I could get this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panasonic...MAAOSwrFtaCT7H

The Panasonic 20mm gets very good reviews. Think I'd prefer that to the Sigma on IQ and on size. A pancake would be a perfect fit on the EM10

At a similar range and style, I also love the Minolta 45mm f2 on an SLR

I have attempted to make my own light seals for the Kiev 88. I used part of the old foil, a piece of Mylar from a Polaroid sx70 film pack and a piece of light seal foam. Won't know if it worked until I shoot again.

Not been on RFF for ages but having a troll around now. This is interesting.

Someone asking about shooting in fog/low contrast. A lot of gobbledygook but bottom line is overexpose by up to 3 stops from what you thought you would, and/or try to meter off your hand (a white man's hand is around about 18% grey so ideal, or a faded pair of jeans if you don't have a white hand).
