Do Acerbis hand guards fit?

Am not too sure that the black V Strom ones will suit my silver pointy

The Acerbis ones need modifying, I tried some against my pointy and they'd have looked awful. The best option is the V-Strom set, they fit straight on and look like they're made for the job, and they work really well.

On my Bandit I had some generic no-name ones I got from Bike-It for 15 quid. They looked ok, but didn't offer much in the way of weather protection, they were there to stop my brake lever from locking the front wheel when I clouted cars in London - they did a good job of it too.

I ordered a set for £25 from the Suzuki dealer in Rochdale. Should arrive Thursday.

The bloke I spoke to said there might be a problem fitting them because the length of the bolt on the SV standard bar ends is shorter than the bolt used on the V-Strom bar ends.

Has anyone any experience of fitting them? Any problems?

Thanks, Alan.

In the kit I got with mine there were longer bolts included. I would assume that would be the same for you?

I've not fitted mine yet this winter. It's not been cold enough!

I fitted some to a naked pointy a few weeks ago, they went straight on with no problems. Everything is included in the kit, new bolts as well.
