GSXR 750 rear shock
I am looking at getting a GSXR rear shock for my sv650. The shock I'm looking at is off a GSXR 750 2006 model. I have read the GSXR1000 shock is the way to go but I was wondering if the 750 shock would be the same?
P.S. I'm getting new springs and oil for the front too....

what year is the bike? and as far as i no the 750 shock is the same as the 600 one so not like the 1000 one.

The shock is off a 06 750 GSXR and my bike is an 04 sv650. Seems like it won't fit then?

yes the 06 one should fit the 04 sv.

I got a ZX10R shock and progressive fork springs (w/ 10W oil), transformed the handling
 .

yes, but he said it was off an 06. I've got one here and tried it and it drops the ass end by about an inch. I have it here sitting on the shelf if anyone wants to buy it. $45.00

So, a gsxr 600 / 750 shock drops the ass a bit. Does that mean a gsxr 1000 shock is taller so the ass stays the same height?
