Confused.com
It's car insurance renewal time so I gave them a try. I then went directly to the 5 lowest quoting companies websites and put in the same details and every single one came back higher. Now Confused.com obviously get a finders fee but were cheaper (£10 - £30) Go figure...
Is there a similar site for bike insurance as that will be up soon? |

Roy
Try ecarinsurance they are the same people as ebike and they did me a far beter quote than confused.com/money supermarket etc could. I know the proof of the pudding is in the eating and when I had a claim with ebike it was very quick, straighforward etc. You have nothing to loose. the scaper sites don't go to all

Re: Confused.com
I was recently part of a focus group for a new insurance website, like confused, but with more of a forum angle. I'm not sure when it's going live. I had mixed views, but think that opinion would be a useful tool for motorbike policies- where the customer service is so important.

Re: Confused.com
i renewed both our cars, and the house insurance through confused earlier this year, found that they were excellent value, and not back street insurers like i suspected they may be, all the companies we bought with where major high street companies,
dont know how they came back with such good prices, as when i approached them direct they couldnt beat the confused prices, but hey who's bothered between the 2 cars and the house my insurance it was almost £600 cheaper overall than we paid last year |

Re: Confused.com
Hah - I just insured my new motor through the AA. ecar wanted £1029 Thieving assholies. Tesco came in on line at £762, but as the car is leased not owned I had to call them and they told me £1027. So they got red-lined too. The AA did £758 and reduced it to £711 if I joined the AA and as it only cost £32 I signed up. Car's a Merc C200. I have 9 years NCB but it's on my Golf (being sold) so I had 0 on this car.
