MOT passed - SV650.org

My AL7 passed its MOT today

I have only done 2500 miles on it in the last year. I suppose there have been mitigating circumstances; a certain plague, my broken wrist and a second bike.
I can't believe I've had the bike for 5 years, it still looks incredible (imho) and, if I'm honest, I prefer riding it to the Z900RS.

"only done 2500 miles", only! I recently MOT'd the wife's SV (SK5). In the two years since the last MOT it'd done c.900 miles (nine hundred).

(Yes, two years. It was eligible for the six month extension from first lockdown then we let it expire while it was SORN'd over last winter & lockdown.)

With the plague effects imposing travel restrictions and shutting pubs, cafe's etc. even when travel was allowed, our biking became somewhat unenjoyable so we didn't bother.

i've done 6K since September (last MOT), and will cover at least 4k between now & September. My bike averages 10k a year - mostly pleasure miles, with some commuting on the better weather days.

RIP SV650 X curvy, crashed and written off December 2019. I'm (procrastinating about) fixing up an old Yamaha FZ600 to get myself fully back on the road.
