Best way to errect tarpaulin on a trader's pitch @ festival
10x7m pitch, trying to suss out the best way to sort us some cover if the weather turns against us...
3x3m gazebo's are cheap enough but I don't want our stall to look like a vicars tea party, tarpaulin would be effective but looks as though it needs some well thought out rigging all triangulated and pegged down (bit tricky as I've a feeling our plot will be hard up against the neighbouring plots on each side).... Can anyone recomend decent cheap weather protection to cover the front 4 metres of the stall (7 metres wide) Thanks in advance

It wont fill your patch but you'll have enough room at the side for a ping pong table - bound to bring the punters in! Last edited by Owenski; 14-07-11 at 10:52 AM. |

See, now if the van didn't have to be parked underneath it, that'd be perfect, but the idea of the tarp/gazebo is to keep stock dry... Surely there's something like that which doesn't require a vehicle to be inside it?? What's the proper technical/product name for them?

ackshually I've just measured out 16x16ft and dropped it onto the plot on computer - it'll fug up our layout of vehicles (won't be able to fit the t4 and the renault master on the plot with the market-tarp setup.. gutted!)

Wooden poles or plastic piping and clips that the market traders use, length twine and weights, roll of tape
Pipe or poles out of the front windows another taped to the roof weights back and front plus sides Alternativelly a second hand wind-out awning----7m for a Sprinter cost us £1800. |

oh so you've got 10x7m but thats got to include the footprint for 2 vans. so more or less you've got 10x3m or 5x7m to erect your stall.

Marquee
You can get the sides for them, a couple of the North East minitwiners had one with the sides in
