Default Who has crash bungs?

Just thought I'd ask out of curiosity, how many of you have crash bungs/bobbins? If not, why not?

lol, I can't imagine what started you thinking about this!

Yes, I have them. When I first got my bike I was told it was pretty much inevitable that i'd drop it or fall off.

Not bad news, luckily! But I am one of those stupid people without them, and I'm wondering how many other people are risking their lovely fairings because they never got round to buying a set.

£60 for crash bungs

vs.

£100+ for a new fairing lower

£25 for a new wing mirror

£20 for a new lever

£10 for a new bar end

£20 for a new indicator

etc

Yep, don't have pansy fairings to protect but do have a rather exposed and expensive radiator. Motosliders, can't recommend them enough. I've dropped my SV countless times (unfortunately being about half an inch too short for the thing goes against me) and had a very small lowside (which saw the end of my rev counter), as a result my bungs are not as perfect as they once were...but still got a lot left in them!

Maybe that's it. I am a human daddy long legs. My knees almost touch the ground when I sit on my bike. I think this plays a big part in keeping it on two wheels.

On average, having crash bungs save me from replacing a radiator every 20,000 miles.
