Default "Daily Briefing"

The "Daily Briefings" have ended and I hate it when an apocalyptic series finishes without an ending.

We had the: " there's not a problem"
then the: " we have a problem, but we can handle it"
plus the: "we are better prepared than anyone"
(psst..got any spare PPE?)
and: "yes, the death counts are higher than other EU countries, but we use the imperial measurement counting method"
don't forget:" keep calm, don't panic and stay home (try not to breathe)"
also: "the curve is flattening, well, yes, at a high level, but it is flatter"
scientists: "it isn't over yet..."
MPs: "sure, you can meet up and go the pub (soon)"

...to be continued in: "Covid19, The Second Wave", coming to a country near you.

(remember Mayor Vaughn in Jaws - "of course it's safe to go in the water")

Depressingly inevitable, isn't it?

Daily briefing my ar5e. Daily dose of Bojo Bull5h1t and lies more like. Bloody glad I'm in Wales where the FM has taken a rather more considered approach.

I think what people forget is you don't have to do what he says; just because he says it is safe to go out, it doesn't mean you have to . . . . . do what you feel is safe for you and your family. Unfortunately 1 rule doesn't fit all 70M of the UK population.

thats is true unless you work for the nhs, police, fire services and education. When the families get penalised for because members work in those areas. Its a joke the government use the excuse that children dont get covid symptoms as bad so its safe to send them back to school whilst parliament werent even ready to go back to work themselves. I should really put this into the gripe thread.

I hate to say this, but I have acquired a very very small respect for the wildling queen.

She at least seems to understand there is little point promoting the economy when all your customers are dead!
