First weekend on the 675
Well im grinning from ear to ear,
collected my new baby- daytona 675 2008 SE (special edition model) on the 8th march. 115 miles done in one weekend. tyres are semi scrubbed in-running pirelli supercorsa as standard, and tbh the first 50 ish miles felt like i was riding on ice was NOT enjoying it one bit, even matt (treacle) said i looked tense- think combination of that the bike was v v new, new tyres and i wasnt used to it, took a break from riding it sat afternoon and was gonna put him away but then had a chat with treacle and thought id give it another go and oh my! im glad i did!! Only complaints i can say is gearbox is quiet stiff and seat is solid!!, ive also got to look at getting it a tad lowered. Have told treacle if hes a good boy (lol) he can take it out for me and im sure he'll let you guys know what he thinks to it! Pics of it are now in photo section. |

Re: First weekend on the 675
You only want Treacle to go out on it to get rid of the chicken strips!!

Nice one Paws. The riding on ice thing is normal, strange bike, new tyres, etc, etc. Only to be expected.

Nice one Paws.
Yes, it feels strange at first, new brake pads and discs as well as tyres etc so just bed it in for a couple of hundred miles. As for hard seat, just eat more pies
