Re: Queens Speech Boring ?
I watched it and felt like it lacked any passion or enthusiasm. It seemed to be deliberately steered away from any "current" topic, with a brief lip-service paid to Irag/Afghan.
Compared to preivous years it was totally uninspired. |

Re: Queens Speech Boring ?
Since it's written by Brown, G's minions I'm not surprised She couldn't summon up any enthusiasm for it!

Tsk, she is 83, so she probably felt like a nap. It wasn't vintage stuff though.

Re: Queens Speech Boring ?
I have the utmost respect for her as the Queen of Australia, but have never been able to listen to more than a few minutes of her Christmas speech.

Re: Queens Speech Boring ?
I did watch it and was disappointed, not really a mention of the Armed Forces, what little time it did get was dedicated to the Army, no Airforce, no Royal Navy, considering i was watching it on a Warship in the Gulf halfway through a six month deployment it would have been nice to get a mention.
A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all and a big thank you to those of you who support the Forces. |

Re: Queens Speech Boring ?
When my nan comes for christmas its always total silence for the speech to the common and wealthy
I always make it a good excuse to go outside for a ciggie |
