Default Of mice and snakes

First off let me say, if there were two species I could wipe off the planet it would be mice and snakes. No regrets!
Saying I hate both of them is not using the term lightly and either spotted on my property is about to meet an unfortunate end.

I keep my bike in one of those carp metal sheds and found a rats nest under the pillion seat once before a couple of years back.
Even had a rat ride inside the bike and jump out and run off when I parked it around in front of the house.
Nothing like seeing some disgussting rat drop out of your bike to give you the creeps while riding!!!
A few mousetraps and a few days later problem solved.

No more problems till now.
Cleaned the bike up over the weekend, changed the oil, etc. in preperation for an upcoming trip this weekend.
Left a clean oil rag under the pillion seat as I still had to refill the scottoiler.
Scottoil arrived Monday so I get the bike out to refill the lubetube take off the seat to see the rag has been chewed up and made into a nest.
I grabbed a corner of it and threw it out not paying much attention untill I was cleaning up when I noticed what I had thought to be other fibers in the nest were actually snake skin from a cottonmouth moccasin!
Looking closely could see where the snake had crawled up the exhaust to get under the seat and have his dinner.

Having previously had the rat drop out of the bike now has me envisioning a posionous snake crawling out from somewhere and biting me while I'm riding but a good lookover of the bike and decide the snake is gone but hate to put it back in the shed.
There will be war on the creatures when I return from my trip!!!
I'm thinking a whole pack of those flea bombs set off at one time should do it.

Not likely of course that any of you have had the internals of your bike violated by a posionous snake but anyone had mice other creatures try to make a home out of your bike?

Yikes! Don't envy you your cheery companions Bill, I'm getting used to sharing the house with spiders, moths and an influx of cranefly at the moment, they're not so bad

Found out the other day that my boss's daughter who's over visiting from Australia was bitten by a spider that came off an orchid her mum had bought here....she's lived 18 years in Oz and not been bitten by anything there, the place with the highest concentration of poisonous critters in the world...how does that work lol.

And you'll have to ride faster Bill, blow them cobwebs/snakes away

I like snakes and mice but not a rat fan. Wouldn't want any of them interfering with my bike mind! Did everyone see this a while ago? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-n...h-snake-945349

The snake is back.

As stated earlier cleaned out rats nest with snakeskin inside prior to my trip when refilling my lube tube.
Had no problems refilling and since the scottoiler itself was low gently squeezed it to fill the oiler and prime the system.
No problem on trip, scottoiler working properly so no worries.

Then I'm get ready for the ride home, and as I place the pannier straps under the passenger seat I notice the scottoiler is low again and the lube tube is still full.
So I pick it up to again squeeze the oil into the scottoiler and suddenly it's leaking all over my hands.
Don't see any damage to the cover so remove it to find two puncture wounds.

Apparently eating mice inside my motorcyle was appealing to the snake and he decided to return for more and upon finding only the lube tube end sticking out I suppose he decided to have that for dinner.
Fortunately it was the end with the hose attached or the ******* would have likely swallowed it and still been attached.

Now I need new lube tube.
This snake must die!!!!!

For sale: Limited quantity of 'killer' chain oil.
Possibly the only venomous chain lubricant in the world.

The worst I've had is a half started birds nest at the back of the block by the carbs once. Robin by the looks of it. Good luck removing the snake!!

Oh dear Bill! It's not so bad if it just uses your bike as a resting place before moving on but active sabotage of your bike? This means WAR! Not that it's good for much

I must be getting soft.
All you lovers of the the world's 'most need to be extinct' creatures will be glad to hear I have consulted with
my snake enthusiast friend and no snakes will be harmed during this (politicly correct for 2012) war.
(Not really apparently it's easier and safer to run them away than it is to kill them.)

Can't say the same for the mice although I doubt there are few if any left if a snake is regularly feeding there but obviously the food source must be removed.

To rid the place of snakes for now a good size box of "mothballs" were(was?) spread around inside.
LOL it looks like a massive hail storm has hit!
Even placed a few under the seat for good measure.
If I can get home before dark tomorow I'll look around the base of the shed for snake holes (likely) and pour a bit of petrol down inside them.
By next morning the fumes will send the snake(s) packing.

and if that doesn't work...
I'll put a mouse in a cage or set a small frog free and wait nearby with a 5 round fully automatic 12 guage shotgun.

I will not give up my bike shed to the snakes.
