Default Sign this petition

Everyone needs to sign this...................... !

Sign and pass it on. It only takes a minute.

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody Will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect a NIP with your monthly bill.

If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website.

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/

Please pass this on to anyone who owns a car/motorcycle. It affects them.

Im paying for nothing, foool

Serioiusly, I'm not paying for something which will only get me charged more money. The goverment should give them all out to us if they want us to have them - we pay enough taxes.

They will go ahead and charge for them, there will be proof that they will not be accurate, thieves will steal them so an innocent party gets the bill, and MCN will run a headline about someone being done cos the colour of the bike caused it to lie

What ever they do, and they will do something, it will cost us and will be done before we have a working public transport infrastructure.

And what, exactly, is Road fund Licence predicated on? This is meant to pay for vehicular use of the roads, so any other 'charge' goes against the principle of no double taxation (although this government has conveniently ignored this).

Robbing b@st@rds!

The way I've read the "speculation" about this issue, is that they're planning on replacing road tax (and possibly fuel tax) with this new distance tax.

The tax will also (apparently) be worked out on a cost per mile per road basis. Meaning if I take the main road from the A55 to Denbigh, it'll cost me more (assuming it's the same physical distance) than if I took the back roads. This is simply because there's more traffic on the main road, and it passes a couple of schools & a hospital. (I'm assuming a lot here btw).

Living where I live, I'm dubious as to if (assuming it's implemented as above) it'll actually cost more money.

Imagine ZERO tax on fuel, ZERO road tax.

I know it wasn't MCN I was reading about it in, but the editor could of been moon-lighting

I would like it to be that way, but I have not heard that 'officially'. As far as I see it, this will be an additional tax. Unfair and unwarranted IMO.
