here it is the new Mk5

So what's been changed, well there are now double bullet terminals on the end of ungraded battery tails and an inline fuse.

the eagle eyed of you will notice that the fuse holder is not the waterproof type, yup its not and for a few reasons. the main being that nothing is waterproof and if those waterproof ones get damp/wet inside they rot the terminals. besides the rest of the Gizmo is not waterproof so what's the point in making the inline fuse so.

hope you like it. if not then i will as always refund.

Looks great mate, looking forward to getting it on. Quick question, what is connector 2 and where does it fit?

connector 2 is specific to suzuki motorcycles and it connects inline with your rear brake light switch. this gives power to the relay coil to turn the Gizmo on when you turn the ignition on. This does not work on K3 pointys so you would need to use connector 1 or ask me for an extension as a workaround to use the headlight side light connection.

Do the dipped beams have to be on for this to trigger the relay? Not a problem for me as I ride with lights on but just wondering if I turn lights off will this turn the gizmo off too?

Not if you're using the rear brake light connector, it'll be on as long as the ignition is on.

Ryan
you are correct if tapping into the loom and you use something like the numberplate light or side light.

no. the rear brake light switch power supply feed has constant live at all times when the ignition is on. this is why an SV (and most suzuki's) specific inline connector is supplied, this connector takes its power from the feed rather than the return of the switch.

the only problem area in the SV range is the K3 pointy for which a workaround has been addressed but i need to be notified by owners of the K3 to send out the extension.

you can be rest assured that the Gizmo is a tried and tested design.
