Oil and filter change, and new reduced metal semi-sintered front brake pads. Pumped the pistons out a bit to give them a good clean, reapplied rrg to them and the sliding pins on the callipers. All back together now and working nicely.

I was putting off bleeding the rear brake on the VFR as heard bleeding linked brakes is a nightmare process. Turns out just doing the rear pistons that are actuated from the rear brake pedal on it's own is very simple. Fairly quick job and next time will be even quicker now I know to flip the caliper and remount it to hold it in the right position for bleeding.

Also ran some new fluid through the hydraulic clutch reservoir to flush out the dark brown sludge that was in there. Hoepfully it's all working for the commute tomorrow.

I've bled the brakes on my VFR. It takes longer but it's not a problem if you follow a set process. There's a good link on the VFR discussions forum if you want me to dig it out.

After Grant's post in SOTD thread, I'm dreading him posting in here!

Get yourself a large syringe with a short length of tube on it. Being able to inject fluid into the system via a bleed nipple makes the rest of the VFR linked system a whole lot easier to do.

Not quite today, but just recently changed out the original brake lines (to Hel) and fluid (to rbf600) in my low-mileage (<4K) SK9 SV. The fluid was getting pretty dark, brakes a bit spongy, but never the less I was surprised to find this build-up in the banjo bolts:
