Re: Noob Needs Exhaust advice.
Have a read of the exhaust section
http://forums.sv650.org/forumdisplay.php?f=137 As for Blue Flame, I wouldnt buy another, they look nice and they sound good to, but the build quality and can strap mounting leave alot to be desired, mine shook itself to bits and had to go back to be repaired under warranty. The end caps split and popped rivets out and then it vibrated so much the strap wore a hole in the titanium skin. Theres better products out there for that sort of money, In that price range I'd be looking to get a Remus can of some description.

Re: Noob Needs Exhaust advice.
Build quality is dubious, or it was, and personaly there are better cans out ther for less money. I agree they look good, and sound good, but i had a bad expeirence many years ago and i would never recomend them at all. As for power gains...hmmm, mine was actually restircting power at points in the rev range so read any pwer gains as optimistic with ANY race can unless the rest of the fuel/air system is mapped/jetted to suit the can.
I'd go for Remus, akrapovic, Hindle, Viper (Budget option) and such like. Edit : Fizz beat me too it |

Re: Noob Needs Exhaust advice.
With £300 as a budget I'd get something "proper" too. Akra, Yoshi, Remus etc

Re: Noob Needs Exhaust advice.
Thanks all for the advice, glad i asked now. I will look into the other exhausts to see wot they got. But from the probs ppl seem to have with blue flames build quality i think i will just give them a miss.
Thanks again, no doubt there will be many more questions in the future. |
