Default Let's see your winter ride pics!

Let's see your winter ride pics!!!
(motorcycles only)
Cold required, snow optional.

My first ride of the year last Sunday.

The snow was more than two weeks old and frozen solid after several days of -10C temps.
Sunday it had warmed up to a balmy -4C when I departed and was -2 when I returned home some 60+ miles later.

With the aid of my heated vest and some other proper winter gear (insulated) I was fairly comfy the entire time.
Was a beautiful sunny day and the roads were clear. (of snow)
Stunning scenry riding through the snowy woods.
Wish I could have gotten more/better pics but the only places to stop were where the snow plough had run wide.

And a rare shot of my SV....

WITH NO LUGGAGE!

The roads don't look greasy at all. Is there much salt down?

Some, but not a lot. This road is rarely traveled in the best of weather so they don't do much to make it passable in the snow.
There is one really tight bend where you would love to lean the bike all the over and power through but it's always covered in loose gravel in the summer and grit in the winter.
Even going slow and expecting that was so bad the front end slipped a few inches! But that's normal winter riding in Virginia!
