The Post Mistress at my local post office used to be the receptionist at my dentists.

She had to phone a PO help desk to sort out a problem with some foreign currency I'd ordered.

During the conversation she referred to me as ' The patient' and had to quickly say ' The customer'

Made me smile.

The munchkin and her boyfriend are with us this weekend and we had a stroll through the woods nearby to a jolly nice pub for lunch. They were delighted to find I had the Geocaching app on my phone and the four of us had a great hour running around trying to find the four locations nearby. We all got one of them. Hoorah.

Going to an orger shindig last night and having a good catch up. I baked chocolate cupcakes, apple and almond cake, took some cheese, and home made quince paste and hot but sweet chilli jelly. All that was left by the end of the night were a few crumbs and cheese rinds, always a good sign.

Global warming at it's best.
Lovely warm sunny day for a rideout!
Made the 100+ mile trip to my favorite biker pub for pizza.
Had lunch with the owner, an old schoolmate and former GF.
Had quite a good time and the pizza is 'to die for'.
Usually it's cold and rainy in October so a rare treat to enjoy summer like weather this time of year.
