Never too late. Its just a case of turning up and paying on the day. There is no pre booking required.

I'm sorry, but I think it is a terrible idea for a new rider to miss the briefing and just join the ride part way through.
Plus, if you're not camping (or hotelling) you won't get to know hardly anyone, just ask Kelljo about last year.

If I did decide to stay for a night, isn't it too late to put my name down? And it's £12 per tent or per person?
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=140477 is quite clear that it's £12 per person, not per tent. Although that is £12 for 2 nights, not just 1. Pretty damn good value AFAIC and you don't have the petrol costs of getting to the venue. I really can only advise you to join in wholeheartedly or don't bother.

You can stay even if you only decide to just before you leave...It'll be £6 for the one night/one person as Stu said.

Yep, it would be better if you could be at the pre-ride briefing, but at the same time, not making that should not mean not doing the ride...we want all to be able to enjoy all or as much of it as possible.

If you PM _stretchie_ or me next Wedensday, we'll sort you out

At this rate my bike will only just be back on the road properly before the AR! Oh well.

Nowhere better to gain experience than with you lot!

Hmmm, Stu does make a good point. If youv've never ridden in a group before the briefing is a pretty good idea.

Plus, as well as the general points which will be covered in the breifings, you will get to know a marker who you can approach at any time if you have questions etc.

Don't ever be afraid to ask any questions, if you may think it is silly, ask away.

As for camping, totally up to you, but try and get to the site for 9:30am at the latest and enjoy the whole day if you decide not to camp. If you decide to camp, then you won't regret it. Fact.
