Recommend me some new music
sick of listening to the sameold.
i like rock, 80's, goa, trance, classical, acoustic (need more but haven't a clue) and singers like Nina Simone, Tracy Chapman, Anastacia, Cat Stevens.... i do not like gansta, dubstep or any other connected to that genre. preferably some youtube links so i can have a listen. |

Current Chemical brothers album is decent. Missus has my motorhead xxxx cd for Christmas.

Things I love that are acoustic based;
Lauren Marling (newish, a girl with relationship issues) Nick Drake (depressingly beautiful) Slightly off kilter stuff Gruff Rhys' - American Interior (charismatic Welsh shambles makes John Evans come back-to-back life) Just glad your still with us.

Wolfsbane is always good, and never played enough........last album was Wolfsbane Save The World released 2012 (another plug for a mate of mine, his recent tour was ****in ace!!)
Also The Jokers, great band to see live, was with them in Stafford last Saturday. They have a new album out called Hurricane. Cheers Terry |

Check out Royal Blood for rock, Chvrches maybe, am still a big Beth Orton fan, am not so much down with Bastille and the like, seems a bit waily but you might not think so.

Songhoy Blues, sounded promising but checked a few more of their stuff and it became a bit boring, 3 chord wonders.
Gruff Rhys, getting there and promising might just listen to a bit more. Beth Orton, as above need to listen to a bit more but sounds promising. most of the others mentioned i have heard at some point and do like some of it but i have most already. newish talent i have heard and like would be Seasick Steve. i find the currant modern stuff all pretty much sounds the same. stuff i listen to a lot would be the likes of Goldfrapp, Joe Bonamassa and this |
