Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Meaco, the final chapter in my dehumidifier story. I received an email from them today saying they don't sell parts to the public (I wanted to buy a regen fan motor). So they wouldn't look at my machine because I'd stripped it to clean it and once I got off my backside and found the problem they wouldn't sell me a part. I told them they seem to have lost the "customer" aspect of customer service.
I have found a motor but it's of poorer quality than the one that was fitted (didn't think that was possible). I have it running on the bench to see if it will last for an hour (it shouldn't run that long in normal operation). The windings are already at 79°C though after 30 mins.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
The zip on my jacket broke ... and I went onto the riding gear forum to report it on the original thread, and the thread has gone. I guess six years is a reasonable time for a jacket to last, but it feels like yesterday. Jackets are really expensive now!

And definitely cheaper than a new jacket - you're right about the cost of those!

I don't even know where to start with finding someone to repair a zip ... apart from youtube, which would likely end in a mess.

Have a look for a shop that does alterations or leather repairs.

fell out of bed sleeping and climbed back in without wakening up. i sometimes startle myself during a dream. so maybe you done that violently in fear of being hurt. one of my friends had a dream of crashing his bike on the ballachulish bridge having never seen it in his life. it was not until he went across it years later that he remembered his dream.. its really strange how the mind works. |
