Default Engine rebuild oil leak

So, managed to rebuild the engine. Turned over no problems and started pretty much first attempt. Took it for its shake down ride, which was fine for about 20 mins, then fair bit of smoke when sat at the lights. Oil is leaking from somewhere around the back of the case.

I can't see where it's leaking from directly. Does anyone have any ideas what to check/redo to find the leak. Really don't want to have to take it out again and take it apart.

check the clutch push rod oil seal is flush with the cases and not pushed in otherwise it will **** oil out. also check the rear crankcase breather is connected properly.

might be the join of the cases, hope not.

Thanks, will check those tonight. I really hope it's not the crank case halves too.

If you have had the rocker covers off check them, I basically folded my gasket when putting back together after doing a valve check. Oil p1ssed out and gathered on the floor from the sidestand (dripped down it)

The sprocket retaining nut being loose can also cause oil to leak via the output shaft seal.Worth checking that.

Checked all those bits, still seems to be leaking, more from the rear of the crank case.

It seems likely that it is the crank case halves. Is there anything else I can do, or am I going to have to take apart again?
