Indeed.
At the assumed £2750 budget limit, it would have to be a Gladys... (the horror, the horror...)

i'm with dd here, while abs is nice its not a requirement. personally for me i find that i dont get on with it as i rely on "feel" so when the abs kicks in i tend to naturally back off on the lever squeeze as i can feel the wheel lock up. yes even in emergency situations. are you going to stop quicker with abs? without a doubt yes.

Why would you want a fairing?
If you want protection from windblast, drive a car.
When I first got my AL7 in May 2016 it didn't have a fly-screen, a few months later I got an MRA one and the first thing I noticed was the horrendous wind noise (that had not been there before, I was happy to ride without earplugs without screen). I removed 75mm of the upturned lip on top of the screen and noise got better (it was causing vortices in the air and directing them up to helmet level) but still really not quiet enough to not use earplugs. I removed the screen, Ahhhh bliss, can ride without earplugs again, and I find that up to legal UK speeds the wind-blast is not at all bad, and it may help me keep my licence.......

As far as ABS, never had it cut in on dry surface but a couple of times on banding on damp roads it did its job..

As far as the Gladius is concerned, I see a few around and they aren't that bad, and they have the fuel injected twin spark engine with SCEM (Nikosil) cylinder liners, and some had ABS - I actually would have bought one if that was all that had been in my price range - you can't see the bike anyway when you are riding it.
