Re: road side Puncture repair
Anyone know how many canisters a stock front and rear tyre respectively take?

Re: road side Puncture repair
It's going to be at least 4 or 5 to get up to a vaguelly rideable pressure to (carefully) get to the nearset garage and top up a bit more.
For reference, road bicycle tyres get to 100psi with one. Mountain bicycle tyres need two to get to approx 60 psi and the volume of even the front SV tyre has got to be many times a MTB tyre. |

Re: road side Puncture repair
found the kit that the AA guy used:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/STOP-DELUXE...ds=stop+and+go obviously he had a larger compressor for adding air, but that should fit under the seat, right? :P |

The deluxe kit looks more like it is for a car or other vehicle where there is plenty of room to stow stuff. I read reviews of the Stop&Go kits and some people have had mushrooms in the tyre for several thousand miles or until they have to replace tyre.

Re: road side Puncture repair
I have a Tiptop plug kit under my seat which I have never used, but in my Piaggio X9 being on cross ply tryres I was using Ultraseal. Rear tyre once had 8 punctures I hadn't even noticed... Ultraseal gets a bit expensive if you ride a lot.
