What a great bike
Thought I'd pop in to say hi as I'm the happy owner of a 2003 SV650S.
I bought it earlier this year as a commuter, but ended up taking it to Spain for an Aragon track day after my GSXR 1000 race bike build got delayed (still in progress). The little 650 held its own despite being over 100 BHP down on most of the other bikes there. The full GSXR 1000 front end I fitted really improved the handling, and the great brakes let me reel the bigger bikes in after they passed me at Mach speed down one of the longest straights on the MotoGP calendar. I've been a fan of litre superbikes for many years, and I've been lucky enough to have owned all the Japanese models (except the Fireblade) in various guise, but the SV is so much fun, I'm pretty much sold on it for road use. Loving it. Some pics from Aragon. |

Re: What a great bike
welcome to the mad house.
yes they are superb bikes when the suspension is sorted like you have done. DONT WHEELIE THEM it kills them due to oil starvation. dont let the oil level fall below the Low mark. you dont need mega cc to have fun. |
