Excellent cafe on the edge of Selkirk, called Fletchers on the junction of the A7 and the A699 at the top of town.

http://www.clachaig.com/ In Glen Coe, near Fort William. Can vouch for this pub personally, it is run by a freinds uncle. Good ales, whiskies, great food and lots of other bikers frequent it, mostly scandinavians on their bmws! Not to be missed.

Waterside cafe at Lochcarron.
Great breakfasts, but only accept the Challenge if you REALLY mean it!
On the way to Bealach na Ba and Applecross, handy since the A+ campsite has stopped catering for the winter.

........and on to The Applecross Inn for lunch! Always a friendly welcome for bikers and usually a lot of bikers there. If you go north to Torridon, there's a cosy, welcoming cafe there for an afternoon cuppa & cakes. Head for the Kinlochewe Hotel for supper! Should be a good day.

Sanquhar, Dumfries & Galloway. Burnside Filling Station and Tea Room.

avoid if you know whats good for you..

£3.50 for what was supposed to be a bacon roll which was the smallest i have bought in a cafe, two bits of rank bacon and a tiny little roll. the bacon was like it had been sitting on a hot plate all day.

the coffee was the worst i have ever tasted in my entire life, nice fancy coffee making machines but when i was complaining about it i seen one of the girls making coffee taking instant catering cheep nasty stuff form a box and using that. when i complained they never charged me for it and rightly so.

yes i understand that they have to make money and especially in high season but there comes a point when its just ripping the public off.

Carron Restaurant in Stonehaven has closed.
It was excellent, the pot roast venison was ultra-yum.

There's a nice wee cafe in Edzell called the Tuck Inn that's a good stopping point on the way to or from Deeside via the Cairn O Mount road.
