You might also consider the travelodge on jct 22 of the M1 (called Leicester Markfield). It's unlikely to be as good as the etap which is new, but could well be cheaper.

Don't worry about finding your way there, we can meet on our way over
Cheers Rusty! I'll pm you slightly closer to the time (as I don't wanna completely wreck the thread for those not attending mallory)

If etap's £26/3 then I'm happy at just under £9 for the night

Thanks

Was this a silly thing to do?
Is anyone else joining in the fun?
I have just booked for me and my mate so we will see you there.

I think we will be going down the night before and staying in a cheap hotel somewhere, what are your plans?

Well the novice pace will be reasonably slow as the group is made for beginners. Don't worry about what's behind you, just focus on what's in front! You go at your own pace anyway, it's not a race!!!

TazDaz speaks sense.

I can probably say, without having seen you ride, there will quite likely be more nervous, slower people there on the day.

Dive in. Don't worry about getting in anyones way, that's there problem. You worry about what's in front. If anyone comes past you, well good for them.

There will be plenty of people around on the day in the same group too, who will be able and willing to help out.

Depends on who is there, some poeple if they cant get in inters or fast go into novice, there can be a huge range of speeds.

Dont worry about people behind you they have to get past you. Novice group can be a bit wierd as some people dont know the lines and can get scared when people who do come past them.

Just relax and stsart steady and build up speed.

There is no need to get your knee down to go fast.

Hi Newts924
Will be going from home - rather have a night's lost sleep in my own pit than pay for a night's lost sleep elsewhere!
Either way will see you there & keep in touch.
