Looks like Speedy's chain has gone the same way. How hard is it to rivet a chain? Basic mechanicing? Can anyone recommend a brand of tool to get for riveting the chain?

Replace chain and sprockets and fit a Scottoiler. It might cost a bit, but it will be worth it in the long run. I haven't adjusted my chain for weeks now.

Not that hard to do (if I can do it then anyone can...!), just take your time - I got this kit from fleabay:

Everything you need and tool seems good quality. Then look at this:

I just hacksawed through the old chain (no dremel). Once you have done it, you will wonder why you never did it before, it really is quite simple and well satisfying to do it yourself
