Radio 2 Jeremy Vine

Didn't hear this myself but apparently they are running a poll to vote vehicles off the road.

Monday's vote brought in Bikes and Lorries, the vote is now on to select one off the road.

There were some really ignorant and stupid comments it seems about bikes. Christine Hamilton reckons bikers only wear leathers cos its kinky ( ). Pot and kettle come to mind - suprised she isn't a biker - if she was I would have to convert to the car and apply a subtle side swipe

Anybody else hear the debate?

yeah i heard it. he didn't suggest it, or say he agrees. Its the people in traffic jams who phone up, no surprise really

I think i've heard his show before; not really that interesting (considering some of the other stuff on radio 2) but I wasnt aware of such narrow-minded veiws held by this guy.

Christine Hamilton may well think that, but I prefer to argue that wearing leather keeps me safe. Maybe she'd like to test coming of a motorcycle at 90mph wearing casual garments, then again wearing full alpinestars kit

And the thing about the tatoo's; i dont associate tatoo's with "thuggary", i think some look stupid, but others look really cool. I associate vandalism etc with thuggary

Nevermind. I guess if we get banned from the road, then under the human rights act the goverment would have to pay for all our trackdays

I have/ride 2 bikes
I ride a horse
I live on a farm (tractors..)
In laws and tris and 3 landrovers between them
oh and tris works at a caravan sales job and in laws have one.

You forgot your piercings

It's a tough choice whether to vote for 4x4's, caravans or white vans.
I think that I'll vote for white vans as that's the only one of the choices that's had me off my bike.
