North Yorkshire Alps
Went out for a bimple today to nowhere in particular.
Ended up riding through 5 foot snow drifts! Even passed two bikers coming the other way when riding through a foot of snow on the road. Michelin Pilot Sports aren't very good snow tyres! Really good ride on nice clean roads, for the most of it. I also ended up in the middle of a flock of sheep too. Cheers, Carl Last edited by Berlin; 21-01-09 at 05:55 PM. |

Re: North Yorkshire Alps
Was similar here at Fylingdales for quite a few days in December. Didnt get any decent pictures of the side of the plowed roads.
Glad you got through it all without issue Does make some damn good pictures though. |

Re: North Yorkshire Alps
It was the road from Kettlewell to Hawes. The road back down the valley was closed due to flooding too.
It was also white on the Ripon to Pately Bridge road too. Shame I only had my poxy mobile phone camera with me. I found loads of great photo opportunities. The sheep all around the bike was just like " A Close Shave" with Wallace and Grommit. C |

Re: North Yorkshire Alps
We had a decent covering earlier in the week, but nothing like that.

Re: North Yorkshire Alps
Now that is a good road IIRC, wouldn't like to get caught out up there. Specially that single tracker with the cattle grids up kettlewell.
