Recommend me a virus checker!
I know this has been posted before - but I can't find the thread
I have just set up my mac as dual boot with windows and thought I had better stick some kind of virus thing on there, but no idea what. I generally hate virus checking software and find it really intrusive while it checks something everytime you login or start a program or try and install something. So, is there a virus checker out there (i don't mind buying it) that is very anonymous and quietly gets on with things in the background without an hour glass every 10 mins? Thanks Luke

Re: Recommend me a virus checker!
get with the programe Cuffy me old mate...anyone who used to use AVG has moved onto the better and faster Antivir.
I guarantee you can do a scan wth AVG first, then dowload and instal Antivir and it'll pick up things AVG missed. www.antivir.de Ive been using it for more than 3yrs now and never had anything get thru to any of the comps here at work.

AVG beat the big boys there, tho that is under Vista, which is arguably considered to be a virus in and of itself. |
