I'm drawn to the engine and all the blingy things around it but overall it's pretty ugly, at least it's a V though. It looks like Harley's electric bike (but worse).

I'm torn on my opinion of this bike.
I admire the engineering that has gone into it.
Cringe at the cost. You'd have to be pretty brave to race on that. Imagine dropping the ****er.
But I can't get over the fact that it's pretty fugly.

Indeed.... defo a 'marmite bike'! If I had that kind of money it would grace my stables for sure, just because!

It's growing on me, if I squint and move further away from the screen.
But I still think if I had the cash I'd rather just have one of its 4 wheeled siblings.

If it didn't have the stupidly large price tag I'd happily ride one. Speed matters more than fuglyness. But even if I won the Euro Millions I wouldn't spend that kind of money on one.

It looks a bit like one of the rat bikes blokes with camo trousers stick predator masks on the front of, that's been adopted by an OCD sufferer with a dremmel and polishing attachment.

Hadn't noticed the seat, Seeker. Presumably you stuff it with cash to your desired comfort level.

I think I'm the same. Reasonable engineering experiment but not for my market. Apparently a feature is that the bodyworkhas no visible fasteners ...

Tbh, it seems to me to be a bit like the Bimota concept re-born 30+years later: Let's buy in someone else's functional mechanical parts and style around it.

Ultimately, if I had that sort of hobby money available to buy something Aston-Martin I'd be buying a decent s/h 2007-2010ish V8 Vantage (and extra garage) for non-biking fun and spending the other half or so on real-world-useful bikes and other stuff.

Alternatively I'd set to and try to craft myself something unique, with plenty of chequebook engineering to overcome my practical skill limitations. (Ho hum, back to the FZ...)

The Motorcycle Show covered it last night. One thing (the only thing) they brought up was the fact that all the fastenings are hidden so the panels are all smooth. It was designed by car designers (no kidding ).

On a related note, does anyone else find Henry Cole irritating? I tend to turn the sound off and the sub titles on.

As for "testing" the Triumph Bobber all I learned was that he didn't like the gap between the rear mudguard and the seatbase. Oh yes, mountain roads have hairpin bends and you have to take them slowly.
