Default miles per tank

Hi every1 - I am currently getting 101 miles per full tank costing around £11.00 from empty

How much is every1 getting on the pointy model

Also how many miles will i go when the petrol light is on??

Many thanks

Since you asked how many miles you can go on reserve, I assume you mean that you get 101 miles to reserve and not to empty.
101 is a perfectly acceptable mileage. Depending on how much I'm thrashing it I get somewhere between 80 and 120 to reserve. I've had a further 60 miles off of the reserve but I wouldn't push beyond 30 miles. I think on the K3-4 the reserve is 5 litres. K5 is different again.

Btw, for curvy owners, there isn't any point in you posting what you get cos your reserves are different as well as the size.

On average and combo city/hiway riding 150-156 miles before the reserve light comes on. That leaves me with 1 1/2 yankee gallons to fined a petrol station. I average approx. 50mpg X 4.5 yankee gallons = 225 miles to an empy tank. Very, very good range with the SV650!
Cheers!
