Default So farewell then SV650

Tomorrow I will be saying goodbye to Silver Suzy my faithful steed. I am changing to a VFR800 which will look much less stupid than the SV with a load of Givi luggage on the back.

I have enjoyed the bike a lot and this is probably the best bike forum on the net. I'll drop in occasionally especially for heated debates about road safety and the motives of government/police authorities etc.

If anyone wants a Givi monorack and pannier brackets for a K3 I am open to offers. I promise complete confidentiality.

which pannier type rack is it? I really didn't like the look of the huge frame type ones.

Wish you all the best Ken, the VFR's a good bike and will certainly suit "luggage" a lot better than the SV . Make sure you visit back here regularly.

What's ths, the "lets get a Viffer" club... I too am seriously considering the VFR, which despite it's pipe & slippers reputation is a wondorful bike. After testing one for a couple of hours I can honestly say that if you find it bland, it's the way you ride. Because "bland" is certainly one thing it is not...

To be honest, if you have enjoyed touring on your SV, the VFR is a very logical step up, unless you want to run with the SV Thou' and it's "character"....

I hope you enjoy the VFR Ken, and please drop bake in here from time to time, they do let us 4 cylinder boys in you know

All these Viffers, Gixxers, Kwaks, 4-Potters and any number of threads about Hornets..............

*shakes head slowly from side to side*

Don't be a stranger, Ken; you're info and contributions to debates have been most interesting and welcome.

And a nice report about the matching pipe and slippers in a couple of months time would be appreciated
