motoring offence status
Wouldn't it be nice if we could 'log in' and see our 'nicked' status?
I men if the cameras are going to be digital and hooked up to a computer then surely this would be possible? Save all that worrying after we pass a camera and dont know whether we've been done or not? Just log on and check to see whether we got caught or not For other people of course; I never have this problem. Oh no, not me, careful me. |

Re: motoring offence status
Sod secure, it would be brilliant. You could just type in a reg number and see all traffic offences recorded against it for the past 12 months. Be dead useful when buying a car/bike to see if a: what sort of person you're buying it off, and b: are you going to get pulled all the time in it!
Actually in Brazil this is exactly how it does work, only you do need the code number off the reg document to get access.... Over there the registered keeper is responsible for all tickets and you have to pay them off when the vehicle annual tax is due, so when you go to buy a vehicle you always check to make sure there are none outstanding.... |

Re: motoring offence status
Oh i was hoping it would only be available to the owner of the vehicle TBH.
I mean how dodgy can it be? Read only access with a password change that goe sout to the new owner on change of ownership? |

Registration for the website could be done by entering vehicle registration, and something similar to the code supplied for tax renewals online. Vehicle details stored irrespective of user registration, and users are associated with vehicles when they prove they own them. It's gone down in my project spec as an idea to discuss - but I wouldn't bother watching this space, it'll take a LONG time to come to any sort of fruition. See skeetly, practicalities, and no spoiling the idea. |
