Default Any zx6 g series guru's?

So, I've just bought a little track toy so I'm not using the sv and it came with tokico four pots instead of the usual 6... I did notice this before but the owner couldn't tell me why, he said he didn't even realise and that he bought it like that... well it rode well so I didn't to much into it. I did a bit of research and they are similar in style to the model before hand but the tokico stamp is the same as the 2004 model but different style calipers. Just wondered if anyone could give me some insight as to why this would be and why it would be done? It doesn't look like it's been down the road....

Thanks in advance

Nice

The 4 pots are easier to look after compared to the 6 pots from what I remember reading

I have an F2/3 .
Its more than adequate stopping power for the waight if you look after them .

the 6 pots are notorious for needing regular servicing to keep them tip top. add in cost of seals for servicing and it soon mounts up to a pretty penny. negligible difference in stopping power over the 4 pots. iir the 6 pots also used to wear the pads down at an angle when the callipers were needing serviced.

Brilliant, thanks guys! I started to worry after going in with to much want and walking away with the bike regardless but I'm glad to find there is a reason behind it Appreciate it!

Now.... where's the track?
