I didnt use to wear any ear protectors until I did a lot of out of town riding and found the wind noise too much.. they not only helped cut out noise it increased my confidence when riding.

I have just tried DIY Custom fit.
Didn't work very well. First one started getting too hard before I started putting it in my ear so not a good fit. Second one perfect fit but there's nothing to keep it in when your helments on so not as good protection as disposables.
What's your experience with customs?

I havnt bothered with ear plugs yet, did notice noise to be getting a bit much on the M40 / M42 but stuck in my headphones (tight fit and block alot of outside noise) and it was much better.
