Default Quick question

Sorry to be a pain and keep asking questions, but should have myself a nice SV650 tonight provided it's as described in the advert, anyway, what sort of mileage should I expect to a tank?

I hear Suzukis, SV's in particular take a lot of "damage" over winter etc, salt and what not.. so I take it a belly pan, fender extend and rear hugger are good buys to keep some of the corrision off?

Anything else I should know/do?

Tank range in my experience varies. I've has a much as 160 miles before the fuel light when taking it easy in the summer, and as little as 100 when thrashing the bike in the winter.

Shouldn't that be the other way round???

Figures are about tight though. On average 130 before light and £11 to fill up.

found the saem. riding like a poof gives me about 100-110 miles. riding like me **** is on fire gets me between 130-150 miles.

no offence to poofs.

Motorway riding at 80-90mph I ge about 105-110 before the light comes on. €11 (£7.60) to fill it right up - compared to £10.50 when I'm in England.

WD40 in winter on all the exposed metals helps to keep the salts off by leaving an oily film.

I got a good result with the Scottoiler spray, bike's still in great nick after its first year doing daily winter riding... Other people recommend the ACF50 spray, which seems to do the job a bit better again. The Chewy's Stuff stianless bolt kit makes it much easier to keep nice...
