Default Afermarket Fuel Filter

I've had my 2000 half faired curvy for about 6 months now and I'm loving it.
I have, however, already had to strip the carbs and clean them twice because of blocket jets so I'm interested in fitting a decent external fuel filter in between tank and pump.

Ideally I'd use one of these (because I've got one in the shed)

But I can't see where I could fit it. There is precious little space under the tank - certainly not enough for a filter, but there are enough "I've got crap in my carbs" posts on here to make me think its worth a bit of effort.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Richard.

You could put it after the pump, there is some space in the vee. I don't know how big that is. I'd always go for a paper-element type, as if it's rust then it can be quite fine powder. If you haven't seen much/any rust then I'd whack some isopropanol in - forgotten what the brand name is, shifts any free water out of the tank. Actually, if you're seeing much rust it might be worthwhile anyway, to ensure it is dry. Wynn's Dry Fuel I think it's called?

I used this type on my old Hondas. They are 6mm so not sure of the diameter for the SV but there are 8mm ones around as well,

They can be flushed out but I used to put a fresh one on at the start of the season
