Re: Avon Storms
What tyre pressure do you run these at? According to my tyre fitter (Ride in bike tyres in Reading) they should be at something like 40/42psi, whereas normal tyres are more like 33/36psi? I've tried both pressures and the tyres feel fine, but I want to run the tyres for as long as possible.
Otherwise they're great tyres and I'm happy that I seem to have got a great deal - £165 fitted to loose wheels! |

Re: Avon Storms
I have them on the Dullsville so can't compare directly. But they do a have higher pressure than 'standard'. The dullsville has 42/46, the Diablo Strada's that were fitted before were at 36/42.

Re: Avon Storms
Mark at Ride In Tyres in Reading pretty much knows his tyres. As he should do being a fitter. He's always got my pressures spot on and never asked what they should be.
Don't forget though, that to a degree, tyre pressures are pretty much a personal choice. |

Re: Avon Storms
Quite a lot of Deauville riders are recommending the Storms on the forum. Seems to be a general thumbs up for them. Haven't heard a bad word yet.

Re: Avon Storms
OK - I was going by this from main site and those pressures worked well for me. But this on the Avon site makes a liar of me, so Chris looks like you are right...

Re: Avon Storms
Well, I know alot of people play around with pressures.
What difference would you expect from upping the pressure?
