Returned to an SV
Hello all! After a couple years on my gsxr I decided to sell it and get another sv for some fun run outs and work commutes, picked this up today and have to say I missed riding these things! Delighted with the bike so far, missed the v-twin!, previous owner kept this thing nice and tidy.
Anyway, hopefully there are no issues found with it as it is an 03, so gonna probably stick it in for a service straight away to make sure it's all good. Happy so far though! Couple pics added. Bazz IMG_20170430_145433.jpg IMG_20170430_145501.jpg IMG_20170430_145557.jpg |

I'm new to the SV650 but so far mine has been brilliant.Just so easy to ride and control with oomph where it needs it and of course there's something special about a V-Twin exhaust note loud or quiet

That looks stunning in white! been thinking of getting a double bubble too, is that a Chinese Ebay one or an expensive job? I was thinking of trying a £12 Chinese one

China, like Taiwan and Japan before, has had to and inevitably upped their QC. I couldn't find any UK or Euro hand-guards I could use but found some cheap Chinese ones that have worked out perfectly.Yeh I had to wait 2 weeks plus but what the hell

Thanks mate, like you say for £12 it's worth a punt.

Think it's a genuine Dom, I bought a cheaper one for my old SV and had a few issues fitting it if I remember as the holes didn't align exactly right. But things may have improved nowadays, but not sure, it's always a risk but for 12 quid it may be worth a punt. |

I'm awaiting a £0.99 pence Temp gauge. It's just a,"Farkle"(I think that's from my USA forums and means something you don't really need but just want).I miss having a Temp gauge on my SV.My old CX500s had a nice one.I even made a replacement voltage replacement unit for pennies when the original broke down using an LED bulb and IC chip as one of the CX guys(Reg) came up with the fix http://cx500forum.com/forum/technica...regulator.html But from what I have seen and experienced on my SV so far the cooling system is way more efficient than my old CX500s and I am a,"Zen Master" on CX500 liquid cooled engines<grin>
