Anyone fancy this? Although I can safly ride, track ridings a different ball game so thought it best to go with likeminded track noobs. Nice little evenings track fun for a few hours..
Has anyone done the evening novice sessions? Its is sesssioned, or open pitlaned? Just wondering how much actual track action i'll get in 2.5 hours for £80? http://www.clubmsv.co.uk/bike-home/e...?productid=138 Or are you better off just going for the whole day? Good questions. I've always wonder just how long or good an evening session would be too. Especially as i've been leaving and seen peeps arrive for the evening sessios.
Hope somone here has done one to let us know.

Divide that by 3 groups = 50 mins. So thats either 2x25min sessions or 3x15min sessions. Thats assuming the classroom sessions mentioned happen while your session is over (which would imply 25 min sessions - ie you are off the track for 50 mins - so 10 mins to settle after coming off the track, 10 mins to get ready again and 30 mins for tuition. Might not be worth it for the tracktime, but the tuition may raise the value enough...

I'm tempted to try the evening thing, especially as it's novices only.

Yeah thats what im thinking. I've read about so many nutters on the full days and tbh, i'd rather have less people on track, who are riding slower so I can make my own pace without having Joe Rocket bomb past me on the outside of Paddock
![]() I might give them a call, find out how much track time you get. Will come back to you. |

Dont be worried about doing a normal trackday as you'll find most of the peeps in novices are there for a reason so you wont have any Barry Bigballs flying past you at silly speeds, he'll be in the inters or advanced groups you see.
i felt the same way before my first trackday but was pleasantly surprised that i was overtaking a few peeps in my novice group. Not cos i'm well fast and a riding god, just cos they were in the way and i passed them safely and sensibly.

Right i've just called them re the novice track evening.
Firstly you get a taster, a couple of laps at a slow pace, following lines etc. Normal stuff (Pah tell them all to research the lines before they get there ![]() You then get x3 20 minutes sesssions on track. I think for a first session, during the evening, thats a nice amount of time to get used to it and enjoy your first track day (on a bike anyway.......). Then I can save and go back and do it properly ![]() But anyway, i AM going to book this event, so if theres any .orgers wanting to take to the track, feel free to jump in. You can have my friends and my old man to gas to if you get bored ![]() |
