Could it be a duff petcock even if new ?

Also check for any fuel in the engine oil.

Petcock.....maybe? It's just occurred that if I apply a vacuum, I can check the outlet.
I did have fuel in the oil before, but since buying the carb bits & getting the float heights set, that's been fine. Worth a check though.

I've just remembered. I used a Petcock same as yours but I hacksawed off the bulbous end of that fat pipe so I could slide the fuel pipe I was using on and then secured it with a screw-tight fuel pipe clip.

It does fair-swell the hose up....I'll consider that.

Neoprene fuel pipe isn't expensive. I renewed all mine in ,"Lockdown". I bought some 6mm ID pipe and some 8mm ID pipe so I could mix and match where needed.

I prefer the non-reinforced type,

Soft Rubber fuel pipe eBay

Hose clips choose to suit
